Zastava M90
The Zastava M90 is a 5.56 mm assault rifle designed and produced by Zastava Arms.[2]
Overview
The Zastava M90 is chambered in the 5.56x45mm NATO round. It is gas-operated, air-cooled, magazine-fed, with selective fire capability. The M90 can be told apart from other AK types by its wooden forend stock, which has three vent slots instead of two.
Variants
- M90 – Standard variant with fixed wooden stock.
- M90A – Under-folding metal stock.
- M85 – A submachine gun related to the M90, based on the AKS-74U and chambered in the 5.56mm round.[3]
Design and features
- M90 Assault Rifle - Can launch rifle grenades using the grenade sight and muzzle-attachment delivered in the complete weapon set.
- M90A Assault Rifle - Can launch rifle grenades using the grenade sight and muzzle-attachment delivered in the complete weapon set. The M90A has a ventrally folding metal stock like the AKMS rather than the side-folding metal frame stock of the AK-74.
